Every civilization has allowed itself to be seduced by that other reality that lives in our subconscious. Modern man also naturally adopts new forms of expression that allude to his most intimate being, fantasy, imagination and desires. At Arteselección we want to reflect on this theme with the help of great modern masters, such as Luis Gordillo, Joan Ponç, Antoni Clavé, Javier Mariscal, Zush or Alberto Duce.

Art in our times, so free from the whims of the gods, has also allowed itself to be seduced by that intangible universe that is woven in the intimacy of one’s dreams. This is what can be seen these days at Arteselección in an exhibition that will not leave anyone indifferent. From the icy atmosphere that surrounds José María Iturralde’s geometric impossibilities to Zush’s world of loss, or Javier Mariscal’s warm breath, that dreams of endless nightlife. Gregorio Prieto, Eduardo Úrculo, Joan Ponç . . . a group of ten Masters of Contemporary Art makes up the exhibition with which Arteselección wants to welcome the autumn.
