The theatre company
ANTIFAZ, founded in the city of Iquique, Region of Tarapaca on March the 3rd of 1993, till now, had become into one of the most prestigious theatrical organizations in and out its frontiers, and it is making a formal call to all the representative groups of arts in the Theatre and Dance areas, to the THIRD INTERNATIONAL, FESTIVAL OF THEATRE AND DANCE FINTDAZ 2009, to be carried out in
October, form the 12th to the 17th, in Iquique city, Region of Tarapaca - Chile. (IQUIQUE – Land of Sun, Beach, Deserts, Saltpetters, Oasis and Duty-free Zone).
FINTDAZ is an event started from a private initiative and self-management which reaches it economic support through Artistic Cultural Projects, Sponsored by Commercial Enterprises and Support form other Anonymous Collaborators.
General Objectives:To initiate the realization of an annual event of Theatre and Dance that become into a real contribution for Iquique city, in a touristic and cultural way in our commune, region , country and internationally during six days.
To promote the interaction and exchange of experiences among the participants, achieve a comprehension of the national and global historical moment in its complexity and implement real values of cultural integration and go forward the realization of an artistic circle from the regions near to the North of Chile (Bolivia, Peru, Argentina) and form another latitudes of Hispanic language, giving knowledge and tools of the new methodologies that exist in the theatrical area and the dance, making participants of these, not just the artists that assists to this “meeting”, but also allows to our resident artists to have a free access to this workshops or “chatting”.
On this festival it could participate all the organizations, groups, and companies related to the theatre and dance area: local, regional, national and international, professionals or amateurs with more than three years of trajectory.
This event does not have a competitive end, nor even paid, but the organization reserves the right to award the best productions assisting to it in the next areas: Best Production (Theatre or Dance), Best Main Actor or Actress, Best Main Male or Female Dancer, Best Outfit and others categories.
REGULATIONS AND GENERAL BASES OF APPLICATION:1. It could participate all the artistic groups: Theatre, Dance-Theatre, Dance (Modern, Contemporary, Classic, Afro, etc) Performances, Puppets, Musicals (Theatrical), Theatre-Circus, Flying Theatre, etc. That possesses a show destined to a young, adult or infant public.
2. The shows offered will be free-subject.
3. related to the theatrical proposals & musicals (Theatrical), these must be 40 minutes at least and 80 minutes as maximum (check point 8)
4. Dance Performances would not exceed more than 40 minutes in any case.
5. The applicants, groups & artistic companies will be able to postulate form one to two performances, respecting the time already established and the number of participants per group.
6. The scenic proposals will have to adapt themselves to multiple stages (Related to size and Technical Equipment in lighting and sound, Basics and ad-hoc to indoor rooms or out door spaces where will be presented the plays and performances).
7. the groups’ selection will be done by a groups of people from the organizers, that is made up bye members from the Theatre Company ANTIFAZ, allowing us also to include in this to any external Director of theatre or dance to collaborate in the groups selection, where the president will be the Executive Producer of this festival. Having into consideration that the chosen respond to an integral proposal: Scenography, outfits, make up, music, illumination, corporal expression, creativity, direction, design, innovation and impact, etc.

Theatre / Musicals (Theatrical) / Puppets / Theatre – Circus. Maximum of assistants: 06 People.
Restricting the presence of any member of the group that does not have a direct or needed relationship with the performance as: managers, producers, director’s assistants, administrative assistants, stylists, make up artists, Etc.
Dance / Theatre – Dance/ etc. Maximum of assistants: 08 People.
Restricting the presence of any member of the group that does not have a direct or needed relationship with the performance as: managers, producers, director’s assistants, administrative assistants, stylists, make up artists, Etc.
Theatre in the Air Maximum of assistants: 08 People.
Restricting the presence of any member of the group that does not have a direct or needed relationship with the performance as: managers, producers, director’s assistants, administrative assistants, stylists, make up artists, Etc.
Performances: Maximum of assistants: 04 People.
9. In this event won’t be allowed tourists, every member of the assistant organization to this event must be clearly justified his/her function in the Technique Index Card Attached.
10. In any case will be allowed a minor.
11. It is mandatory that every group assists with its own lighting & sound technician according to the complexity and necessity of the performance, the technician must be considered into the number of the assistants allowed by group expressed in the Technique index card.
12. will be mandatory that at the moment of postulate any kind of performance, you must attach the next background: Press articles from the offered performance, Digital Photos from the Performance, Brief Summary of the Play, Brief Resume of each actor or dancer from the group and the trajectory of the company, besides you must add a compact disc: CD or DVD with the play, performance or show postulated to this event, the groups that do not accomplished these requirements will be automatically excluded form the evaluation process.
13. The selected groups must their application with the COMITMENT LETTER, attached to these general basis, with its respective legal approve, signature from the legal representatives and the fiscal stamp that guarantee the existence of the institution.
14. the group or company (theatre of dance), if it is selected, and belongs to a third person, must include the certificate to allow the use of the play or show copyright.
15. The organization and the Theatre Company ANTIFAZ will provide the basic lighting and sound devices to each performance. More sophisticated or expensive elements will have to be assumed by each group. It is recommended for all the companies of theatre and dance to bring their own scenery, to do not do the play or performance justice. The organization group will help and be worry to look for all the prop elements required, this according to the budget predispose to this purpose.
16. The organization will provide accommodations (in hotels, communitarian hostels depending on the financial resources that the organization counts for that purpose) food (light meal, lunch and dinner) and internal transportation for all the artists assiting to the event, understanding this as: reception and dismissal of the different groups to the different terminals or bus stations existing in Iquique city.
17. All the artistic groups must assume the Transportation costs from and to their origin country; they will also have to pay for the weigh they bring.
18. All the groups must be “open” to share experiences theatrically or in dance with the other people assisting to the event and with all the community, according to the calendar of daily activities, previously elaborated by the Organizer committee.
19. Once selected the groups both theatre and dance, will receive a formal letter as the invitation to the Third International Festival of Theatre and Dance FINTDAZ 2009. Also, the groups invited will have to include the commitment letter related to the author’s rights, in case of a foreigner group, they will have to include a support letter form their embassy or any state organism from their country, indicating that their participation in this event will be with no profit motive in mind neither any kind of retribution will be given.
20. All the selected groups will have to accomplish with an Official Presentation on the principal stage of the FINTDAZ, (floor form the municipal theatre of Iquique) and two other extension performances as special presentations for students or out of the city, in towns and communes in different schedules, where the number of the audience can be form 5 to 100 people.
21. All the performances (in the main stage of the FINTDAZ, and the extension functions) will be for free.
22. The arrival to this event will be scheduled, meaning that every group must arrive to FINTDAZ 2009 based on the presentation Schedule established by the Organizer committee, all this information will be given to the selected groups with 60 days before the event.
23. the organization will be in charged of the accommodations, food, and internal transportations beginning the day before the event starts and till midday of the next day after the end of the event.
24. Each group will receive a kind of souvenir for it participation in this event and a diploma for each member of the group.
25. the Organizer committee is allowed to give certain distinctions or special prices to those groups & artists that have a distinguished participation in any scenic area.
QUALITY OF THE SPECIAL GUESSES: 26. The organizer Committee will reserve the right to subsidize some tickets (by plane or bus to come and go) inside our national territory (CHILE), in a total or partial way to every group or company, national or foreigner that reach the necessary score (over a 97%).
