Romeo & Juliet

Martes, 8 de Mayo de 2007   Bombay, India,
This is a play as much about the disease of prejudice as about love. 'Two households, both alike in dignity', who go to the same church, live with an unreasonable dislike of each other for no apparent reason or basis. Their mutual hatred and prejudice of the past not only destroys their present but also kills their future, their children. This well-known Shakespeare classic, in the garb of a teenage love tragedy interspersed with bawdy comedy, sends a strong message for any society that harbours and nurtures biases against a particular people.

With authentic sets, music, costume, dialect and the ambience, the play promises to take viewers into a completely different world and a 'once in a lifetime' experience.

Written by William Shakespeare.
Adapted and directed by Atul Tiwari.
